Baseball Valley vs Atrisco Heritage Final score Vikings 3 Jaguars 2

Valley held off a feisty Atrisco squad on Saturday. There were opportunities for both teams to change the momentum but the defenses were stout from both dugouts. The Vikings came out of a bases loaded jam while surrendering only one run to the Jaguars in the fourth inning. That was Atrisco’s best chance to tally up some run support for starting pitcher Christopher Elliot, who pitched wire to wire. The Vikings tied the game in the bottom of the fourth and the score remained two a piece until Valley pushed a run across in extra innings to win the game in the bottom of the 8th. Jayden Williams had a dominant three innings pitched in relief for Valley as he struck out 5 out of the 10 batters he faced and gave up no hits.
